Ms. Johnson's Career and Professional Background
Because I did not become a teacher directly out of an undergraduate program, I have been lucky to have held jobs in several aspects of science research, education, and writing. These former jobs continue to influence how I teach my students and what experiences I can share with them as they learn biology, anatomy, chemistry, earth science, and physics, as well as subjects not in our department.

Additionally, I have benefited tremendously from the various volunteer activities I have pursued since graduating from high school. I list them as a way for students to consider the ways they can give back to their communities while learning skills and information that will be necessary for college and careers.
